The refurbishment and upgrading of a Grade 1 Listed Building to initially provide five self contained modern apartments and provision of enhanced social spaces such as residents’ lounges.
To further develop the site, an existing 1960s building is to be demolished, releasing space to enable the construction of a further nine apartment block, staff accommodation, administration offices, spa and residents’ storage.
With the construction of this building, the opportunity has been taken to connect the listed buildings and nursing home (which also stands on the site) giving a new modern entrance serving all buildings.
Extensive upgrading the Nursing Home will also occur whilst retaining a high continual occupation throughout the construction process.
