Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
As 2017 draws to a close, we’d like to take this opportunity to reflect on our year at BJP. It’s been a busy one! We’ve seen the completion of several successful projects and also won some new contracts which will undoubtedly keep us busy next year. As a result of our success over the last year, we’ve welcomed some new talent in the form of Oliver Scull, Mike Bryne and Elise Makin.
Oliver (left) is the newest member of our Mechanical Design Team. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University and has experience working with a local M&E Sub-contractor.
Elise (centre) returned to us in February, after 7 years gaining graphic design experience at Clarks HQ, to undertake a rebrand the Company and overhaul our marketing design. Elise is also a competent draughtsperson and assists with the general day-to-day running of the Office.
Mike (right) joins us as Intermediate Electrical Engineer and is working towards obtaining an HNC in Building Services Engineering.
Recently completed projects
2017 has seen the completion of several projects including Rosenberg House (pictured below left): A Grade 2 Listed Almshouse in the Centre of Bath redeveloped to provide fifteen stunning high quality modern residential apartments, fully accessible ‘homes for life’ for local elderly people in need and for independent living.
Cambridge House (pictured below right): A large multi-tenanted office development set over four-floors in the City of Bath. Services strategies included careful detailing and integration for the CAT A (landlord) element and CAT B (tenant) fit out. Services included ventilation heat recovery, cooling, power distrubution, alarms and lighting.
We have recently completed works on a £26.5m new build project to deliver a state of the art Composites Manufacturing Facility. The facility boasts a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, with a 1500m2² Basement, 1500m² cleanroom facility , three-floor office annexe with meeting rooms, offices and canteen facility.
Team Building at River Cottage HQ, Axminster
It’s been pretty hectic in our Office this year and as a result, Jonathan thought we all deserved a bit of rewarding time away from our desks. So, he very kindly surprised us with a bread making course at the fabulous River Cottage HQ in Axminster, Devon.
We all had an amazing time, making our own pasta (which formed the first course of a delicious 3-course meal in the Farmhouse) and bread to enjoy at home. We returned to the Office the following day feeling rejuvenated and proud of our new found skills!
