Yate Park & Ride

New £3.5 million facility and transport hub provided to support sustainable travel in Yate and surrounding areas

BJP provided Electrical Engineering Consultancy for this new Park and Ride facility which opened to the public in 2022. The site in Yate adjacent the SGC Badminton Rd offices and photovoltaic field required some carefully planned diversions, and infrastructure to accept the initial power loads with allowance for future expansion and renewable energy integration.

A substation, switchrooms and localised feeder pillars provided means of distributing power across the site for electric vehicle chargers, carpark and street lighting, CCTV cameras, bus stop services and communal power.
